Product Description

Farrow & Ball All White No.2005 is the brand's purest, simplest white. Unusually, it contains no pigment other than white, which means it has none of the cool blue undertones found in a brilliant white. The result is a soft, sympathetic shade that lifts a room without feeling clinical, making it one of Farrow & Ball's most versatile and best-selling colours.

One of the brand's Architectural Neutrals, All White sits beautifully alongside other warm whites and earthy tones. Farrow & Ball recommend pairing it with Skimming Stone and Strong White for a layered, gently warm scheme with a slight edge. For something more graphic, contrast it with strong tones like Pitch Black or St Giles Blue.

Where to use Farrow & Ball All White No.2005

Because All White has such a high light reflectance value (LRV ~94), it's an excellent choice for spaces that need to feel bright and open, including north-facing rooms, narrow hallways, smaller bedrooms and bathrooms. Its lack of cool undertone means it pairs comfortably with both warm wood floors and crisp modern joinery, working as well in a period home as in a new-build.

It's a popular choice for ceilings and trim alongside deeper Farrow & Ball wall colours, where it provides a clean, harmonious frame without competing for attention. For exteriors, choose Exterior Masonry or Exterior Eggshell finish for breathable, weather-resistant performance.

Frequently asked questions

Is All White a warm or cool white?
All White is a warm white. Because it contains no pigment other than white, it lacks the cool blue undertones of a brilliant white, giving it a softer, more sympathetic feel.
What's the difference between All White and Wimborne White?
Wimborne White (No.239) has a small amount of yellow pigment, giving it a slightly creamier, more traditional feel. All White is purer and crisper, with no added pigment at all. Wimborne suits classic and country interiors; All White works equally well in classic and contemporary schemes.
What colours pair well with All White?
Farrow & Ball recommend pairing All White with Skimming Stone and Strong White for a warm, layered scheme, or contrasting it with Pitch Black or St Giles Blue for a more graphic look.
Is All White suitable for a north-facing room?
Yes. With an LRV of around 94, All White reflects almost all the light that falls on it, making it one of the better choices in the F&B palette for rooms with limited natural light.
Can I use All White on kitchen cabinets or woodwork?
Yes. Choose Flat Eggshell or Modern Eggshell for cabinets and woodwork. Both are scrubbable and stain-resistant, with Modern Eggshell offering a slightly higher 40% sheen.
