Sandtex Microseal Smooth Masonry
Sandtex Microseal Smooth Masonry Paint is a high-performance, water-based exterior coating designed to protect and enhance a variety of masonry surfaces. Utilising microporous Microseal® technology, it allows moisture to escape while preventing water ingress, ensuring the substrate remains dry and protected. The formulation is resistant to peeling, flaking, mould, and algae, contributing to a long-lasting, clean appearance. Additionally, its dirt-resistant properties help maintain the coating’s aesthetic features, and with the benefit of being rainproof in just 1 hour, you can complete the job even if the weather forecast is not reliable. The paint is touch dry in 3–4 hours and can be recoated after the same interval. It is suitable for use on most sound, dry exterior surfaces including render, roughcast, pebbledash, concrete, building blocks, facing bricks, and previously painted surfaces, but is not recommended for use on common, fletton, or engineering type bricks.
Application is straightforward, with two coats recommended for optimal durability. It can be applied using a brush, roller, or airless spray, and is available in various sizes and colours to suit different project requirements. Coverage ranges from 12 to 16 m² per litre, depending on the surface texture and porosity .
