Osmo Door Oil

Osmo Door Oil is a specialist wood finish formulated primarily for veneered doors and furniture, offering both protection and enhancement of fine timber surfaces. Rather than forming a thick surface film like a traditional lacquer, the oil penetrates into the wood grain and veneer surface, enriching colour and accentuating the natural character of the timber while maintaining a subtle, elegant appearance.

Its low-odour formulation makes it well-suited to interior use, especially in homes, offices and commercial spaces where doors and furniture benefit from a durable yet breathable protective layer. Once applied, the oil hardens within the wood fibres, providing resistance to everyday wear, light abrasion and moisture marks while preserving the look and texture of the veneer. This penetrative action also helps reduce the risk of surface cracking or peeling that can occur with surface-film finishes on veneers.

Clear or Raw?

Clear means the oil contains a slight tint that give wood a subtle warmer tone without significantly colouring it. It still looks natural, but may enhance richness and depth slightly more than raw. This can help even out tones on varied veneers and make the grain appear more pronounced under light.

Raw is as close to "no added colour" as possible. It lets the inherent colour of the timber or veneer show through with minimal alteration — ideal if you want to preserve the wood’s original shade exactly as it is without enhancing warmth or saturation.
