Little Greene Wallpaper Stag Trail Juniper
The Little Greene Stag Trail Wallpaper is a classic Georgian design that has historical significance and a fascinating backstory. It can be observed at Greyfriars, a medieval timber house in Worcester. What makes this design particularly interesting is its 20th-century journey. Elsie Moore, the property's owner, acquired unused rolls of this wallpaper from a rectory attic in nearby Pershore. She creatively displayed sections of it as framed panels in her bright yellow dining room.
However, there was a twist to this story. Suspecting that the turquoise pigment in the ground of the wallpaper could contain arsenic, she took precautions by covering the panels with plain brown paper to avoid any potential harm to herself or her guests. The pinholes she used to attach the paper can still be seen today, but the wallpaper has been safely restored and is back on display. The Stag Trail Wallpaper offers a blend of history and usability. The scale of the original pattern has been reduced for practicality, and it comes in four distinct colourways, including a nod to the original design, a traditional interpretation, and more contemporary options. This wallpaper allows you to bring a touch of Georgian elegance and a fascinating historical narrative into your interior decor.
