Little Greene Wallpaper Bamboo Floral Mischief
The Little Greene Bamboo Floral Wallpaper is a design inspired by miniature painted sections discovered on Chinese wallpaper fragments at Kingston Lacy Estate in Dorset. Despite limited knowledge about these approximately 200 identified fragments, it remains uncertain whether this print adorned the estate itself. During the 19th century, imported Chinese wallpapers were immensely popular in manor houses, where paper hangers would intricately cut out individual elements and affix them to panels, creating a seamless, panoramic flow. These fragments, perhaps remnants of that process, have now been reimagined into a modern interior's repeating pattern. Surface-printed and available in five vibrant colourways, each offering a contemporary burst of colour, this design breathes new life into historical aesthetics.
