Product Description
Fiddes Shellac Sealer is a traditional, spirit‑based shellac wood sealer and primer designed to create a clear, natural base on bare or sanded timber before applying subsequent finishes such as wax polishes, French polish and other clear topcoats. It is formulated to penetrate and seal pores in the wood, helping to lock in stains and provide a smooth, stable surface that readily accepts decorative finishes.
In addition to sealing bare wood, it can be used over stains, act as a knotting agent, help fill the grain slightly and create a protective barrier that reduces absorption of later coats. Once sealed, the surface is ready for finishing with waxes, polishes or other clear coatings.
