Product Description
Earthborn Silicate Primer is specifically formulated to work as part of a two-part system with Earthborn Silicate Masonry Paint, delivering exceptional performance on bare, mineral-based surfaces such as lime render, stone, and concrete. Its potassium silicate base reacts chemically with the substrate, creating a strong, durable bond that enhances adhesion and longevity.
This primer is highly breathable, allowing moisture vapour to escape while preventing water ingress—ideal for heritage buildings and solid wall construction. It ensures a stable, long-lasting finish and is the recommended base coat where no previous coatings exist. For previously painted or sealed surfaces, Earthborn Bonding Primer should be used instead to ensure proper adhesion.
