All White is exactly what it says! It unusually contains no other pigment except white and creates the softest most sympathetic white with none of the uncomfortable cold blue feeling of a brilliant white. It is often used on woodwork and ceilings to bring out the colour in other soft whites like Dimity or Strong White or with stronger tones to create a fresh clean contrast.

All White

Farrow & Ball's All White is a crisp, pure white that brings a sense of freshness and clarity to any interior space. Unlike whites that have hints of other colours, All White is free from any undertones, making it a true, clean white. This purity allows it to reflect light beautifully, enhancing the brightness of a room and creating a serene, airy atmosphere.

All White is highly versatile and works well in a variety of settings. It's perfect for contemporary spaces where a clean, minimalist aesthetic is desired, but it also complements traditional interiors by providing a fresh backdrop that highlights architectural details and furnishings. It pairs wonderfully with both bold colours and soft neutrals, making it an excellent choice for trim, ceilings, and walls. All White's simplicity and elegance make it a timeless option that can adapt to changing styles and tastes over time.

Colour Schemes

Farrow & Ball's colour card includes a large range of gentle neutrals with matching bold accents. This makes it very easy for anyone to choose a colour scheme for their home.

Great White and Blackened

Great White: This elegant white is not named after a shark, but simply refers to how wonderful the colour is! Great White appears to be a very pale lilac when contrasted with Farrow & Ball's All White, making it perfect for children’s bedrooms when wanting to keep a fairly neutral scheme.

Blackened: Farrow & Ball's coolest white, with the slightest hint of grey, was historically made with the addition of lamp black pigment gathered from the smoke of burning oil lamps.

Cornforth White and Ammonite

Cornforth White: Cornforth White is the mid tone in the group of Easy Neutrals which are totally understated and extremely versatile. Neither too warm nor too cool, Cornforth White sits contentedly between Ammonite and Purbeck Stone to create a hushed and calming retreat.

Ammonite: Ammonite is named after the treasured fossils often found on the Dorset coast. It has a fantastically understated quality, and sits effortlessly with Farrow & Ball's Relaxed Neutrals.

Mole's Breath and Pitch Black

Mole's Breath: A timeless grey whose name takes its roots from the much loved Elephant's Breath, this moody hue is inspired by a smaller, furrier animal. Mole's Breath is the most versatile of Farrow & Ball's stronger accents as it can be used both with Easy Neutrals like Purbeck Stone and Contemporary Neutrals like Strong White.

Pitch Black: Pitch Black is as pure a black as you can get and is strong and uncomplicated in all lights. Named after the dark sticky residue of coal tar often used in roofing, this true black has an unsurpassable depth and almost velvet quality.
